Remember that a countable noun names something you can count, like for example, cookie. I can say:
How many cookies are there in the box?
There are six cookies in the box/ There is one cookie on the table.
There aren't any cookies at home.
An uncountable noun names something you can't directly count using a number. We can't say I have three milks in the fridge. Instead we can count bottles or glasses of milk.
